Account & Settings
Manage your personal profile, security preferences, and artist configuration from a single location.
User Account Settings
These settings apply to your personal account and are relevant whether you are an artist or a client.
Profile Information
Update your public identity on ArtComms.
- Avatar: Click "Upload Avatar" to select an image. A cropping tool will appear to help you center your profile picture perfectly (square 1:1 aspect ratio).
- Display Name: This is the name shown publicly on your profile and messages.
Content Preferences
Control what type of content you see on the marketplace.
- Show NSFW Content: Toggle this ON if you wish to see listings marked as Not Safe For Work. If OFF, these listings will be hidden from search results and category pages.
Security & Passkeys
We strictly use Passkeys (WebAuthn) for secure, password-less authentication. This could be FaceID, TouchID, Windows Hello, or a physical YubiKey.
- Registering a Passkey: Click "Add Passkey" and follow your browser's prompts to authenticate. We recommend adding at least two passkeys (e.g., your phone and your laptop) so you don't lose access.
- Managing Passkeys: You can see a list of all devices registered to your account. Use the trash icon to remove any old or lost devices.
Artist Profile Settings
These settings appear only if you have an Artist account. They control your public storefront and workflow.
Public Profile
Customize how your shop looks to potential clients.
- Banner Image: A large header image for your profile page. Use the cropper to fit the 16:4 aspect ratio.
- Unique URL Slug: Choose your custom link (e.g.,
artcomms.com/yourname). This must be unique across the platform. - Bio: A rich-text area to introduce yourself, your style, and your rules. You can add bold text, lists, and links.
- Custom Status: A short blurb shown next to your name (e.g., "Waitlist Open!" or "Taking a break").
Social Links
Add links to your other galleries or social media. These appear as icons on your profile.
Notifications
Fine-tune the emails you and your clients receive. We recommend keeping most of these ON to ensure smooth communication.
Artist Alerts (Sent to You)
- New Commission Request: Essential for knowing when work comes in.
- New Message: When a client replies to your chat.
- Payment Received: Confirmation that a transaction has cleared Stripe.
Client Alerts (Sent to Client)
You can control which automated emails your clients receive to avoid spamming them, though "Payment Requests" should always remain on.
- Status Updates: Emails client when you move their card (e.g. to "In Progress").
- Worklog Updates: Emails client when you check off a Todo item. Default is OFF to avoid inbox clutter.
Public Queue
Display your workload publicly so clients can see where they stand in line.
- Enable Public Queue: Toggles the visibility of the "Queue" tab on your profile.
- Show Thumbnails: If enabled, shows the main reference image of the commission on the public board. Caution: ensure you have permission to share client references.
- Hidden Columns: You can hide specific internal columns (like "Declined" or "Private Notes") from the public view while keeping them on your internal board.
Terms of Service
A dedicated text area for your TOS. Clients will be presented with a link to this before submitting a request. Use this to specify your refund policy, revision limits, and commercial rights.
Payment & Billing
ArtComms uses Stripe Connect to pay you directly.
- Manage Payouts: Opens your Stripe Express dashboard to view upcoming payouts and update bank details.
- Platform Subscription: Manage your ArtComms Plus subscription if applicable.
