App Installation & Notifications

ArtComms is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you can install it on your device just like a native app, without going through an app store.

How to Install

iOS (Safari)

  1. Open artcomms.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow up) at the bottom.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add to confirm.
Note: Push notifications on iOS require the app to be added to your home screen first.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open artcomms.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the Menu (three dots) in the top right.
  3. Tap Install App or "Add to Home Screen".
  4. Follow the prompts to install.

Android (Firefox)

  1. Open artcomms.com in Firefox.
  2. Tap the Menu (three dots).
  3. Tap Install.

Desktop (Chrome/Edge)

  1. Look for the Install icon (computer with arrow) in the address bar.
  2. Click it and select Install.
  3. The app will launch in its own window.

Push Notifications

Stay updated on commissions, payments, and messages. You can enable notifications from your Dashboard or Settings.

Troubleshooting

"Permission Denied" or "Blocked"

If you previously clicked "Block", the browser won't ask you again.
Fix: Tap the Lock Icon in your address bar → PermissionsReset or allow Notifications.

"Service Worker Not Found" (Firefox)

This often happens in Private Browsing / Incognito Mode where Service Workers are disabled.
Fix: Open the site in a normal tab. If it still fails, try refreshing the page and clicking Enable again.

iOS Devices

On iPhone/iPad, you must add the app to your Home Screen (share button → Add to Home Screen) before you can receive push notifications.
